Welcome to the Winter issue

of PhotoNews!

Wow! It is 2009. Where did 2008 go? It was an incredibly busy year

in the photo industry. Tons of new products are coming into the

market in response to the increasing popularity of digital

photography. I personally have seen a great many of my friends

finally purchase a DSLR to see what I have been raving about and

to see how they can expand their photographic skills.

So this issue is dedicated to the new DSLR users and the DSLR

addicts out there. We have articles on some new products and

how to use them and some tips on how to choose your gear. We

also have a submission from the Humber College photography

program on their trip to Vietnam – see how these students

captured a wide range of images from a captivating land. Then

take a look at a novice DSLR user’s trip to Africa – Fiona Smith

snapped some terrific photos on a whirlwind trip – her first trip

using a DSLR camera.

Another amateur photographer shows us how she has created a

small business using a unique new Canadian product – Stick and

Stretch. Stick and Stretch is a great product for easily creating
